Title: Continuity and shifts in emotions during the implementation of enterprise software in organizations using the example of SAP technology (1972 to date)
The research study examines the influence that the implementation of a new information technology like SAP enterprise software has on the emotional experience of users, and how the man-machine-relationship is being changed and transformed emotionally over time.
Shifts in employees’ emotions towards software technology are being investigated on the basis of legally binding internal agreements between management and employee representatives, so-called “Betriebsvereinbarungen”, which deal with the implementation of SAP technology in companies.
The focus will be on the workforce´s experiences with the new technology and, accordingly, newly created rules to comply with shall be analyzed in terms of the role, importance, and shifts in emotions in the process of establishing a new technology.
