… there have rarely been so many existential threats going on at once. Are we really on the edge of the abyss, or are the apocalyptic scenarios driving us into a kind of collective phobia? Doomsday has been frequently invoked and announced in history. Can lessons be learned from this, and how can we as individuals and as a society navigate with fear?
