Aretin Award

Since 2013, the Karl-Otmar-Freiherr-von-Aretin-Award has been conferred upon excellent theses by students of the Institute of History. Karl-Otmar Freiherr von Aretin is seen as the crucial founding figure of the Institute, where he held the Chair for Contemporary History from 1964 to 1988.
