Getting to know TU Darmstadt
through hobit and TUDay

Open Days like hobit or TUDay are the best way of choosing your degree programme and deciding whether a university is right for you. Come and talk to other students and staff and get a good feel for what it’s really like.

At the hobit (‘University and Career Information Days’), universities, colleges and commercial enterprises in Darmstadt provide information twice a year about study and training opportunities in Darmstadt and the surrounding area. There are exciting lectures and guided tours on topics relevant to studying or training. Direct dialogue with students, lecturers and academic staff is particularly helpful. They all give you exciting first impressions of studying and working.

We look forward to seeing you there!

We support you in finding a good decision or ideas.

You have completed the first step: You're reading this or toying with the idea of studying history or are just curious that it exists at a technical university?

We would be happy if you are interested and visit us at the booth. You can find more tips on the hobit contact website.

TUDay

The centrally organized TUDay is the optimal opportunity to get to know the Institute of History in person. Here you can go directly to our TUDay offer, which was hosted digitally for the first time on June 10, 2020.

TUDay took place digitally during the pandemic and has been back in person since 2024. Parts of the digital offer are still online and offer you a first point of contact to get to know the subject of history at TU Darmstadt better.

TUday provides information about the Technical University as a place to study. As an open day for prospective students, it provides insight into all of the university's degree programs, which are presented at the respective department or institute: Through special lectures, guided tours, typical courses and conversations with university lecturers, academic staff and students, you can get a taste of everyday university life.

In this way, you can get an independent and realistic picture of the courses offered, the study conditions and everyday student life.
